From Photo to Art Explained:
All I knew was that the proposal happened in a cave in Cappadocia, and that they’d been on the famous balloon rides the day before. There wasn’t a photo of the actual moment, just one of the ring afterward, so I had to piece the scene together from fragments: their outfits and the backdrop. I had a vision of how it could have looked and turned it into a single portrait that captured the moment and location in one. Not knowing the story was risky as it was just a prediction, but luckily it was pretty much on point - making it the perfect engagement gift.
All I had to work with was a photo of their hands with the ring + backdrop, and a quick selfie that showed what they were wearing that day. They didn’t manage to capture the actual proposal, so I brought that missing moment to life. Every detail was imagined and illustrated to reflect how it may have felt: intimate, scenic, and full of emotion. Now, they have something to remember that special moment forever.
The original photo captured the moment, but I wanted to bring out the wonder even more. I reimagined the scene in full - snow layered, stars scattered, the green sky glowing above them. It was already a moment they’d never forget - now its a piece of art.
